Yarrow is a truly great healing oil! Applied topically to a cut, yarrow will pull the edges together and help the cut to heal almost miraculously. Butterfly Now Carries a Line of Organic Essential Oils

In the past we have avoided having an organic line because there is simply no organic certification or standards for essential oils in the United States. We have found that a wild crafted oil is often of better quality than the organic version. However, some countries do have organic certifications for essential oils and they have produced some truely wonderful oils. Butterfly has decided to carry these organic oils from countries with high organic standards and certifications.

Which Yarrow should I choose?

Many essential oil companies carry more than one yarrow essential oil. A yarrow oil which has a pale green color like Yarrow Green or Yarrow Green USA seems to be slightly stronger in hormone balancing properties than a deeper blue one like Yarrow Blue. Yellow Yarrow is a particularly good febrifuge (reduces fever and produces a sweat). Deeper blue yarrow oils have an advantage as an astringent and in pulling the edges of wounds together. The blue one is the one sought after most frequently as a single oil.
