Learning with LaRee
A deficiency of iron is one of the most common deficiency disease in the world and is common to both men and women. Iron is used in the creation of hormones by the thyroid glands as well as in the ability of red blood cells to produce the hemoglobin needed for oxygen transport. Often called the “energy giver,” iron along with manganese, iodine, copper, and cobalt—is necessary for red blood cell formation.
