EYE IRRITATION #2 6X
FERRUM PHOSPHORICUM (iron phosphate) Among Ferrum phos’s other symptoms and uses (besides anemia and exhaustion) are some very distinctive eye issues. These include conjunctivitis without mucus, red eyes, inflamed burning sensation in eyes, feeling of sand under eyelids, suffused eyes with pressure on bending over and vision becomes blurred, and stye on the lower eyelid.
MANCINELLA VENENATA (manganeel apple) One of the major uses of Mancinella is for problems with the eyes and with vision. Specific to Mancinella symptoms include burning eyes, smarting on closing the eyes, light sensitivity, dull ache behind the eyes, eyelids heavy and sore, intense inflammation with loss of vision for several days at a time. Mental keynote is the sudden vanishing of thoughts.
RESERPINUM (alkaloid of Rauwolfia serpentina) The only eye issue I can find for Reserpinum is myosis (contraction of the pupil of the eye). Perhaps this remedy is added here because of the headaches for which it is indicated. These headaches include migraines and headaches on waking in the morning that is better for food and worse again just before lunchtime (these symptoms indicate problems balancing and maintaining blood sugar levels more than they point toward eye strain, however).
THUJA OCCIDENTALIS (arbor vitae) Thuja acts chiefly on the mucus membranes and stimulates the body to deal with bacterial invasions. Symptoms applicable to this combination are blood-red eyes that tear up a lot, conjunctivitis after vaccination, styes and tumors, constant ache in the eye made worse by bright light, and eye infections—both mild varieties and more dangerous types.
URTICA URENS (stinging nettle) Urtica urens is indicated for anything that burns. Eyes feel weak and sore, pain in eyes as if from a blow, feels like sand in the eyes, and the eyes burn and sting a lot.
WYETHIA HELENOIDES (poison weed) The major symptoms of Wyethia include itching at the inner canthus of the eye—usually of the left eye, and hay fever symptoms with swollen and sore glands—usually on right side of neck.
